A wax museum in London, on the corner of Allsop Place and Marylebone Road, set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. A major tourist attraction in London, incorporating (until recently) the London Planetarium in its west wing. The oldest figure on display is that of Madame du Barry (the last MaĆ®tresse-en-titre of Louis XV of France and one of the victims of the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution). Other ancient faces from the time of Tussaud include Robespierre, George III and Benjamin Franklin.
