It is generally acknowledged that flamenco grew out of the unique interplay of native Arabic, Andalusian, Sephardic, and Gypsy cultures that existed in Andalusia, in the south of Spain. Latin American and especially Cuban influences have also been important in shaping several flamenco musical forms. The heart of flamenco is the song (cante) but now, flamenco is expressed through the toque, the playing of the flamenco guitar, the cante, and the baile (dancing).
Some famous artists: La Niña de los Peines, Don Antonio Chacon for the cante, Carmen Amaya fot the baile, Niño Ricardo for the guitar. Antonio Gades, Cristina Hoyos et Sara Baras, for the baile.
