The Musée Rodin contains the largest collection of the sculptor’s works at two sites, in Paris, at the Hôtel Biron, and in Meudon, site of his former home.
The Hotel Biron, Rue de Varenne, Paris 75007, was built in 1737, for the financier Abraham Peyrenc de Mora, Rodin used it as his workshop from 1908. The gardens contain many of the famous sculptures.
The most famous sculptures: The Thinker, The Kiss, The Burghers of Calais and The Gates of Hell, depicting scenes from Dante’s Inferno from Rodin and works of his famous student Camille Claudel.
